Early Ford accessory distributer?

This doesn't seem to be for a model T 20's style engine. I was wondering if they were made for an earlier model. I have installed a Texas T distributor in the past but this won't fit my '20 T engine as there is block part casting in the way. Maybe it was for racing if on a T. Or maybe a model S? The distributor seems to be made in Argentina, most likely VW. Maybe it isn't even for a Ford product.

That looks as in about as much as an "unfinished machine job" for a model T that youll ever find. Looks like some one sand cast the frame and never finished it! ws

Its a pretty standard model T ford add on unit. Many companys made these units. They "clamp on" by removing the timer . Worked very well for the day.......

Bill, that's a Texas t and fits really well. The Bosch 09 distributor turns the wrong direction to use the automatic advance inside the distributor.
We make up a Mallory with a fully automatic advance of 20 degrees at 2500 rpm, that works really slick....
