After learning of Mr. Lepores passing, my question seems kinda empty. I too, as many others have stated, will miss him and his high quality work.

What, if any, is the significance of the difference in the Bakelite plug (1 is plain, 2 are grooved)? Possibly just a matter of different suppliers?

No, not suppliers, as I recall, its a early and late thing. I will see if I can find the info.

You are missing one style of them. They had one with out it being cut where the wires go in.. I sold that to Doc.K, I think, years ago..

As I learned it...the plain is a replacement item, the grooved full cylinder is early, and the grooved with a flat on the cylinder is later..fwiw,jm
