drip rail molding

I have the old stuff, and another set on my victoria parts car, but I'm not sure if it is reusable. Is it? I'd also like to find a source for some new stuff. Interweb searching isn't very productive.

as far as I know all drip mouldings just snaps around the drip edge. I removed ours on our '60 with a sharp chisel, under the inside lip and slowly and gentlely tap it off. once it starts it removes fairly easy.

Removing it isn't what I'm looking for. I'm wondering about reinstalling it. Is there a source for new or do I have to reuse the old? If I reuse the old is there a trick to it?

Don't know on a 54 but later models, reused. I just used palm of hand from one end to other, like removing. Make sure you start at the exact spot where it was originally. If your planning on machine buffing it, cover rest of car and do it in place before removing. Very hard to buff small unsupported pieces of trim, and hard to ship out.

There isn't any way to determine the exact place it was originally. I removed it 8 or 9 years ago and the car has been painted. I watched a video where the guy removed it with an aluminum "church key". IIRC I pulled mine off with brute force and a screwdriver.

The curved part can kind of guide you.

I have them labeled, left, right, front with arrows pointing the correct directions. I guess what you are all saying is they can be reinstalled and there aren't any new ones on the market. I will definitely practice on the parts car first.
