I'm having all kind of trouble getting the 47 car door glass to roll straight up,it keeps binding 3/4 of the up. Any ideas on how to cure this ?

Is it possible to roll the glass up to the closed position and then adjust the side channels?
I had the same problems with my 1940 door glass years ago. You have to have the patience of a took ache and just keep working at it. Make sure your wind wing vent widows are also adjusted properly for easy glass sliding of the door glass.

The front channel is the only one that’s adjustable. Need to have the upholstery panel off to get at the slotted bolts at the bottom of the channel. At the top of the front channel is a small screw that holds the top in place. It allows for a small amount of fore/aft adjustment. The rear channel has no adjustment. But it could be that it’s not properly seated or fitted down into the retaining slots in the door frame. If it’s not properly seated, it would definitely be pushed out toward the front of the car, creating a chance that the glass would be in a bind. Good luck.

I should have added that I would have the door panel off, and I’d observe the window regulator and the links that attach to the channel on the bottom of the glass. It could be that the channel on the bottom of the glass was pushed onto the glass with the tabs for the regulator installed backward. The two tabs (where the regulator links go thru) should be toward the INSIDE of the car. I think things will bind up if they’re backward. Just a hunch.

Well I got the door glass sliding up and down like it should !!! The next job like this I want to get paid by the hour !! Thanks for all the tips and advice

After pulling the window glass out, I had installed it the wrong way. I found there was a missing bolt holding the front channel at the bottom where there should be two which helps to properly lines up the channel. Also the top front channel tiny screw was hitting the top edge of the glass so added some cushion like stuff to fix that. I adjusted the three screws at the bottom until the glass rolled up and down like it should. Again thanks to everyone that help.
