Dome Light instructions Wood Install

I am adding the dome light wooden block to a 1931 Coupe. I wondered if anyone had any pictures or instructions. Did you run the wiring to the front or back of the car. A picture of the raw wood on the ceiling would really help. I am also guessing you drill holes in the ceiling wooden ribs to run the wire or did you run the wire to the side? I looked in my books, online, and this forum but didn't find anything?
