Does anyone fix Cast?

The base on my original Stanco Quail radiator cap has cracked off. Can anyone fix it correctly without JB weld, Flex seal or Gorilla Glue?

Post pictures of the damage and condition of the surrounding area.
Cracked off leaves a wide range of damage, some can be repairable or parts exchangeable

What material is it composed of? I suspect zinc (die-cast).

After heat the chrome will be junk - use JB Weld and be done with it.

Since I don't see any pictures. If its a poor quality material, I would suggest drilling and Pinning the two pieces together. You don't like the idea of JB weld but sometimes it is the best repair, when heat will cause additional damage. The trick is hiding the repair.

just buy another and JB weld that one for a desk ornament.

I bet it is "pot metal", so likely not.
