Distrib. rotor not turning. Engine cranking normally

Thanks to all of your input! I retested by turning the engine over with the starter and shaft rotates normally. I ordered a new distributor from Snyder along with a couple of gaskets. I'm not sure what is going on with the shaft not turning besides the distributor shaft is frozen. With it being frozen I would think some would have broken. Like the tang at the end of the shaft, or the oil pump gear, but nothing was broken that I could see1

Reach down the distributer hole with a big screwdriver, stick it in that slot in the top of the distributer drive, and try to turn it.I know those parts are pinned together, but I can't picture just where.Seems I've heard of that pin being sheared, but not sure if the top part is pinned or the bottom, for the oil pump.I've never had one apart.I have taken dozens out of old engines,I just put them in a bin and look for the best looking one when I need one.
