Commutator on 1917 Ford

I would like to replace the commutator on my engine with a new one from Lang's. Is this an item that is easily replaced (remove old, bolt on new) or do I risk messing something up? The original one on the engine is on its last legs. I went through the Model T service manual and did not see anything there on topic. Anyone have any experience in changing these out? Thanks.

One bolt, loosen up. Put the wires back in the spot on the new one. Put bracket back in place and tighten it up.

In the Model T Service Manual, removing the commutator begins with pargraph 454 (page115), reinstalling the commutator starts with paragraph 469 (page 120) and setting the commutator is in paragraph 126 (page 37). This all assuming that you are using an original Ford timer. There a ton of aftermarket replacement timers available. You may need to check/set the timing and bend the commutator rod to fit a new/different timer. In figure 100, page 37 of the Service Manual, you can see the gauge/tool that is used to set the correct position of the commutator case pull rod, for "accurate" ignition.
