Looking @ rim's/tires, is any one running the new excelsor radials from coker tire. Like what i see in the ads/web site. Would like some feed back from the barn before I $pend:eek:

I hate to poke dead things with a stick, but before I layed out upwards of $1,000 for WW radials for my 32, I did my homework...LOTS of it...for over a year. I just don't have the money to throw away on expensive parts (tires), and this being the case, I check into everything I'm looking to buy. There are PLENTY of Vendors out there selling the same thing, so when I hear ANYthing negative about someones product I steer clear...especially repeated negative comments. This being said, There were enough about Cokers radials to make me steer clear, and go to another Vendor. The Vendor I settled on had practically no, if ANY, negative comments on their tires, and were very competetive price wise. Coker makes there own tires, and the Vendor I purchased mine from uses brand new tires, and a proprietary process to vulcanize the WW on the tires. The tires are on the car in my Avatar..

im running diamondbacks www radials on my 41 ford and i highly recommened them, they use brand name tires and vulcanize on the whitewall .the front are 205x75x15 2 3/4 white rears are 225x75x15 3 inch white...most other brand www are only 2 1/4-2 1/2 whitewall, diamondback has the largest www on the market...

Thank's for the input gentlemen. I do like the ww's on your vehicles but on my 1/2T I'm going with a basic blk reg tire. I know what you mean by homework, the barn is a great resource along with my small library of book's and catalog's. Keep on restoring!

I used 195-80-16 on my 1950 f1. they are replacement size for this truck. got these on the internet , yokahma and bridgestone make them.

I had radials on my model "a". Everybody said they make the car handle better. I bought coker bias firestones because i wanted the firestone name. The tires look better than the radials and i think it handles better. I run bias firestone tires on my 39 from coker and they are fine. I like the red dots by the valve stems better than wide whitewalls.

THAT IS A PICTURE OF JASPER AFTER PLAYING POOL OR CARDS IN HIS DOG HOUSE ALL NIGHT.

Guys, this is the question ^^^

39portlander, you might want to flip over to the HAMB and do a search, all things Coker get thrashed out a lot. Or maybe do a specific question there about the Excelsior Radials like you have here. I know there are users there.

There seems to be some confusion here. I believe 39 is asking about the Excelsior Stahl Sport radial (?). If that's correct he's talking about a blackwall only tire that is radial, tall/skinny profile, with squared shoulders that give it the appearance of a bias tire.

For www I'm also a fan of Diamondback, have them on my '36, but that's not the subject here. I too would like to hear about actual experience with the Excelsior Stahl radial. I've looked at the HAMB and only seen one, brief comment about a user having 4k miles and liking them, but not much else substantive. Maybe I didn't use the right search phrase, but more info would be good.

I've heard they've stopped making the Excelsior bias 'racing' and now have the Stahl Sport Radial, which to me looks basically the same and comes in a lot of diam. sizes. Real world appraisals of this radial version do seem a bit thin on the ground.
