Now for a little bit of history. The patent rights for the assembly line process was purchased from the Stahl Urban Company in Indiana. Stahl Urban was a clothing manufacturer and took payment in cash and Ford pledges which later became Ford Motor stock. Stahl Urban no longer exists except in name only---it becoming a victim of NFTA.
