This is a fantastic bumper for a Fine Point AA restoration. It differs from the Sedan and Coupe bumpers in that the bars are 2" wide, not 1 3/4 inches.
It is 64 inches long, straight in center section and the end sections are the perfect '28-'29 curvatures. It is a steel bumper, and the chrome plating is absolutely beautiful, no pitting and no grinding marks, still wrapped in plastic from the Plater.
As you probably know, these AA bumpers are not reproduced, probably because there is not the demand for them like the Coupe and sedan bumpers. If you want the correct bumper for your AA, you have to find one like this or find a good used AA bumper. Chances of finding the correct one a AA are very slim and then getting a good plating job is another issue. You risk ending up with pits and grinding marks after paying $200 to $300 for the plating.
I have owned this bumper for over 30 years, but never had the opportunity to buy a AA to use it.
