Well the old girl is fired up and running but is need of a brake job. Probably the whole system when it comes down to it, but I can not find brakes for a 1938 anywhere. 39 - 42 everywhere but not for a 1938 any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If those are actual pictures of your truck, it sure looks like it has been already converted to hydraulic brakes (38's originally had mechanical cable brakes). From the looks of the drums, they are '39, but it's hard to tell exactly from what I can see.

Beat me by thaaat much, Bob.;)

Jp, as others have stated, you have hydraulics. I would first see if your cylinders are rebuildable, and second try to have your old shoes relined if possible. original parts are usually mo better I believe.
Now, on a side note, I am in process of moving to Beverly, just about 25 miles west on 18,
this weekend is the "Beverly Bash", parade on saturday, Ill be the old guy in the 52 army jeep full of kids, food...music...the usual small town affair, come on over and we will talk old Fords.

Cas3 Thanks for the invite... not sure I can do this weekend, but you being that close, I will definitely catch up with you in the near future!
