last engine I rebuilt was a flathead, the crank had plugs to be removed for clean out, does the 312 have plugs in the crank to remove for clean out?

yblocks are side oilers and have allen plugs down the side and in the front/side and back. I try to always remove them for a better assurance of clean oil passages. Count on destroying them in the process. But easily replaced. You'll be glad you did. You should get Charlie Morris' book btw.
Have a great engine builder here in the Tulsa areawho know yblocks and did mine if your lookin. Not to far for you.
