Another 30 coupe top qusetion

I think with the help of Vince Falter and a couple of other Fordbarners the questions I posted yesterday about the small bracket locations and the upper top front corner of the doors have been answered. I have another question. I am a 28/29 model A person and don't know beans about 30/31 model A's. The picture below shows one of the rear corners of the top on the 30 coupe. The fellow that I am trying to help out, that doesn't use Fordbarn much, is starting to install the top. He was concerned about tacking the chicken wire to the corners. He and I assume you install chicken wire on a 30 coupe like we did on our 28 special coupes (we both have 28 special coupe). Assuming chicken wire is installed, it looks like there is no wood to tack (stretch) the wire to in the corners. First, is chicken wire used on 30 coupes and second, how is the chicken wire, if used, stretched and tacked in the corners where no wood is present? Again, thanks for any help.

Rusty, do not use chicken wire. Ford didn't.

Use a duckdrill fabric to cover the top wood and then follow with cotton. The wood needs to be solid underneath the metal and tightly adjoining so there is not any air-gap between the wood and the metal.

Brent,
Thanks for the response. A new Classic Wood top kit was installed, so the wood is in good shape. The top installation instructions from Classtique said to use chicken wire first, then the padding, etc. It seems like just duck material would sag between the top bows without the chicken wire. Do you just try to stretch the duck material real tight and staple it to the bows and around the perimeter? Do you use chicken wire on 28/29 coupes? I guess I thought all closed cab model A's, except pickups and sports & business coupes, had chicken wire installed on the roof first to prevent sagging of the material.
