After my Dad passed away several years ago I found this among his papers. I thought this was as a good time as ever to share.
Hope you all have a great INDEPENDENCE Day!
My new Car (author unknown)
My car is brand new
it cost me a hunk,
Oh what will I do
It's a real pile of junk.
The paint is bad
The seat it squeeks,
The rear end howls
The roof it leaks.
The plugs won't fire
The hood won't latch
There's no spare tire
The tires don't match.
The brakes they stick
The battery needs juice
The lifters they tick
The bumper is loose.
To the dealer I went
To tell him my woes
Of the money I spent
And how this car goes.
With a tear in his eye
And a hankie soon wet
He gave a big sigh
I thought I was set
We've sold you a car
The best on the lot
What we've gotten so far
Is bitchen, that's what.
However, said the dealer
Your problems I'll fix
And believe me I shall
To stop all all your kicks
My car now runs strong
I hear no more noise
I can see nothing wrong
Oh! bundles of joys
With plugs in my ears
Dark glasses on me,
There's nothing to hear
And nothing to see.
Hope you all have a great INDEPENDENCE Day!
