Snyders is showing available at $112. These are now made in the US to original standards.
I recently bought two AND a worm on Ebay (NOS) for about the same amount.
Ebay I would expect to spend $25-$35 for a good looking used one.
The usual fail is the shaft but what isn't as easy to examine is the wear of the "teeth."
The usual plan is to replace both parts with "new" - but that isn't to say you might get lucky and find some good "donor" parts.
