Do Ford produce the bodies for the 68-B Cabriolet and the 180-A Phaeton on it's own or do they come from other manufacturers like Murray or Briggs? Thanks for your help, Alex
68-B were built by Briggs, which means WOOD! The rear quarters are totally different than the other fords on the 68B
Here is a photo of bodies assembled and waiting to go on the chassis. Notice that the top on the Cabriolet is still unfinished and needs a back window still
Both bodies[ 68-b /180A ] are made by Briggs. Briggs made 50 bodies of the 180A at one time. Pretty much things where not standard for the 180A as bodies that were made by Ford.[thats where people who judge these cars make a mistake]They keep saying but Ford never did it this way.. Hello- Briggs made the bodies and not Ford. Some changes were made between batches. Body metal stayed the same. Now i have also 1930 early standard fordor sedan also made by Briggs. Alot of wood.
