C craig Senior Member Jun 30, 2011 #2 Your 81 should be a C6, the 65 motor is probably a 240, either way it should fit
D Dave72dt Senior Member Jun 30, 2011 #4 Compare the number of bolt holes on the bellhousing. There were some differences on V8s and may apply to the 6's as well.
