I have read several threads regarding starter replacement and having to grind for clearance with the modern style spring. It appears to be just a bit larger in diameter than the old one. I struggled a while trying to get the thing in and quit. (I am considering using the old set up) Where do you grind? The bottom face of the hole? I am 73 and already had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. Not up for that again.
