Have a 53 truck. The truck had 69,000 miles but the clutch would not encage until it was all the way out. There was no adjustment left. I had flywheel tuned new clutch and press. plate and release bearing. It still does not encage until the pedal is all the way out. There is no adjustment left. What do I do next? It make noise when you are going down the road. You can push pedal in and it stops. Thanks Julian

There was a recent thread (here or y-blocks forever) that some new clutches (diaphragm style among others) are shorter than the OEM style. So there's a lot of travel before the throw out bearing engages. Solution was a longer rod, different throw out, or a spacer, don't recall the details. Also some discussion about different pivot ball length in the bellhousing.
