34 pickup door parts assembly advice

As I am about to order all the glass for my 34 pickup and install the glass, regulator assembly and latch assembly, I am hoping that I could lean on the experience from those here for advice, tips and tricks.

Which parts should I install first? Glass and regulator then latch assembly?

I need to buy door glass channel kit and most of what I see out there is the Vintique kits. Is this the only one out there? How does it fit?

On the windscreen, once I get the glass installed in the frame as well as the hinge attached to the frame, it looks like it is a real pain in the butt to get mounted. Probably will need 2 buddies to hold windscreen while I install screws. Sound about right?

Thanks for sharing

The latch goes in first. Windshield on mine was 2 grandsons 1 daughter and me. Rear window has about 500 small screws, lock washers and nuts. My old fingers did not want to do it.

Latch first, then slider channel over it ,then verticle felts, then regulator; lower class w horizontal channel down and on to regulator. Rear window nuts- I use a bent box wrench with tape in it to hold the nuts/washers Very tight. Done 3 cabs this way. Newc

Trying to install a Dennis Carpenter door check arm kit and it doesn’t look right. Kit came with flat metal arm, slotted rubber biscuit, slotted washer and 1 cotter pin. I slide rubber biscuit, and washer on one end of the arm added the cotter pin, stuck it inside door and out through hole to attach to mounting tabs in door jam.

The angle of the rubber biscuit doesn’t sit flat against door . It just doesn’t look right. Am I missing something or a part?
