327 CE Block CE 9A42118

[50thstatenova]

Can anyone tell me what the following block is worth that I have had in storage for several years:

Casting Number: 3959538
Suffix Code: CE 9A42118
Dated Code: A 3 9 (Jan 3, 1969)

Any info helps. Could it be an L79 replacement block? Teh block has the recessed oil filter used in early 65 to 67 Chev II Novas.

Thanks, Wes

You might try a Chevrolet related forum that deals with that model and years. Not many look at this section and being a Ford site, could be slim pickings finding someone that might know.
