The part that you push is the same but the V8 and 4cyl are different on the engine side. The V8 is shorter in width and turns up. The 4cyl goes further to the pass side and turns down. Note, only 32 pedals have the ball on the side of the spoon for the hand throttle hook up.

Andy,
I made the same mistake you did and several people corrected me. We should have said "only '32 passenger car pedals and '32 and later (for a couple of years) trucks have the ball on the side of the spoon for the hand throttle hook up." Seems like useless trivia but very important if someone is trying to id a spoon to buy.

Charlie, thanks!
No not 'useless' trivia ,for sure! I am trying to id such a spoon to BUY. And, the 4cyl application being longer(to passenger side) seems to fill the need....that is unless you and/or others have tried it and found to be unsatisfactory! Anyone please advise if you know of better application.

I would stick with the Model A. If you are anywhere near Culver City California (does the Left coast mean Hawaii?) I have a Model A and a Model B parked next to each other that you could compare. The Model B ends up in the same place as the Model A relative to the carburetor but attaches to the firewall and costs a lot more.

Andy,That should work fine for you. You can heat and bend the B linkage so it points up to line up with the downdraft carbs. You can also drill out the rivet that attaches the arm to the rod and flip the rod around. It will probably still need some tweeking.
I have made this stuff from scratch. The eye bolts are common and some linkage usually comes with them. The rods are made from 5/16 stock. I make the spoons from a bit of plate and shape them on a grinder. They plate up fine. The only part not easy to find or make is the little tin cover that holds the 32 stuff to the firewall.
