28 Lower Cowl Hood Lacing

According to the Judging Standards, Area 1, 28-29 vehicles, the lower cowl hood lacing is suppose to be flat and 1/2" wide.

I have checked Restoration Supply Company, Brattons, Berts, and Sacramento Vintage and none show the 1/2" wide, flat, lacing.

Does any one know where this might be available ?

Ron,

I never found the 1/2" wide lacing either. I bought some from Bill Hirsch, I think 5/8", and trimmed it. Hope someone else writes in that they found a source for the 1/2". Of course, my search was a number of years ago for the Phaeton. Haven't looked since.

Thanks for the information, I've also checked with other dealers and like you, no luck. With all the 28-29 cars out there you would think some dealer would step up and have some produced ?
