28-29 A-13480 Stop Light Switch Assembly

Has any one ever attempted to weld any of the four tabs on the cover of the A-13480 Stop Light Switch cover with success to re-use the original cover?

Mine are broke off...could use a reproduction but do not wish to if you know me.

That is not only down-to-earth, let's-keep-the-old-stuff-going great advice, but if you think about it, it's the 1930's philosophy, too. Now for the realilty: If my Model A were being judged, I would be out of the competition loooong before the judges looked for whether or not my brake light switch tabs were welded on or not.

FYI, I have a stock one and one from snyders and the tabs are not in the exact same location so it does not swap over to the old one.
