272 y block pistons

i find a Y bloc from a 57 fairlane . the block is a complete 272 ( ECG) but one piston is broken at the bottom . I don't see many parts for the 272 like original diameter pistons . is it a good choice ?

A better choice is to take your 272 & have it bored out to 292. Plenty of parts available for a 292.

Agree with Dan. Have it sonic tested before boring to ensure you have enough meat.

Agree with Lowrider and Y-Blockhead. 272's usually have enough wall thickness to overbore to 292 standard but have it checked to be sure. I also have a NOS set of 292 std pistons if you're interested.
