2026 MAFCA Board Election

Jim/GA

Well-known member
I'm running for the MAFCA Board again.

When you get your ballots in the mail from MAFCA (any day now), please vote for me and return them both to MAFCA. Feel free to reach out with questions or suggestions of things I could propose if I get elected to the Board.

Please also encourage your other Model A Friends to vote for me.

For those of you who do not feel like you know me well enough to vote for me, please go watch my series of short videos (under 3 minutes each) where I tell you more about myself and why I want to serve on the MAFCA Board. They can be found at:

Thanks!

Our 2 ballots for this election came in the mail yesterday, so look for yours coming any day now.

"Vote for Jim and Send It In!"

You can save a bit of postage by putting the 2 postcard ballots into a single letter-size envelop and mailing that for 82 cents, instead of the 65 cents per postcard.

I did a video interview from my shop recently and it went live a few days ago. If you have not seen it, check it out here:

Jim I hope this is a fair question? Why did you drop out? And why do you want to do it again? I will say you are knowledgeable, you are kind and talk nice to people. I met you a few years back at the old car festival .Best of luck to you.

A perfectly reasonable question. After serving in 2017 and ‘18, I ran for the Board back in 2020 for the years 2021 and ‘22. There were 5 openings for the Board (I forget how many candidates -- 7?) and I did not get enough votes to get one of the 5 spots. I don’t know why. I campaigned and sent out a bunch of letters to MAFCA Chapters all over the country. I thought people knew me and would vote for me, but I guess they didn’t.

So when that didn’t happen, I redirected my efforts toward forming a local Chapter here in the North Georgia and Western North Carolina area. It’s been fun and the group is off to a great start. We have a great group here.

So now I have time to volunteer at the national level again. The MAFCA Board asked me to run again, and I agreed.

Thanks for the compliments and thanks for your support.
