2010 Eastern National meet

Dicky,
There are quite a few Fordbarners going to Charlotte for the Eastern. Scroll down and you will find the post. John

Dicky, due to a conflicting schedule, I won't be there on Wednesday but hopefully, I'll arrive there sometime Thursday. I have not been to an EFV8C/A National Meet since '07, so I'm really looking forward to being there for this one. Look for the car in my Avatar (w/o WWW tires) and I should be somewhere near by. Stop and say hey. Will you be bringing a car and if so let us know what to look for. JM

;) I am going to the V8 Clubs National meet in Concord N.C. Any of you Fordbarners going?

I finally made it here to the show at 11:00 PM Thursday night. I was thinking at that time, it may not have been worth the trip down here and having to leave the rest of my family on vacation at the beach in OC MD. However, after spending today on the show field at the Charlotte Motor Speedway I am really glade that I came. A lot of very nice cars on the field. I helped Paul Bradly judge three '36 open cars and two of the three were what I would consider to be nearly perfect restorations. Saw a lot of nice Rouge class cars. Stopped over to see Ken Ct., met up with GM, saw Charlie, NY as I drove through the flea market area this morning but he had packed up and left by the time I got back this afternoon. I could not find Redneck (Ken) or his car but GM said he was here. Saw Frank Miller's nice '49 convertable and Randy/IN's nice '35/'36 PU. I also met the guy who wrote the article in this months EFV8C/A V8 Times about the (Dan Bruseguard sp??) steering column bearing replacement, but a bad case of CRS has caused me to forget his FB name or his real name. I ran into many old V8ing friends and made some new ones during the day. I'm really glad that I did make the trip down here, but I'll probably be in the ole "dog house" for awhile with my family ;) JM

ps....my '35 fordor has run perfectly so far and I may have won a Rouge award :)

John, I saw your car but I couldn't find you. I, too, saw GM for a while and I saw Redneck everywhere I went. He is going home in the morning. It was a great show, but the 100+ temp was a bit much. Banquet Sat night and then home on Sunday.

Cecil, Maybe I'll get to meet you at the banquet tonight. I'm leaving for MD as soon as that is over. I was hoping to get to talk to you about your planned driving route to Utah this October. Cheers, John
