1959 Galaxie Headlights

I have questions about the headlight wiring and operation on a 1959 Galaxie which has 4 headlights. Which side does the 3 wire plug on on? Inner or outer? Do both lights stay on during high beam operation or just the high beam and the other is off. Which side is the high beam? Thanks for any reply.
 
The three wire sockets and bulbs were originally on the outside with the two wire bulbs inboard of them. The three wire bulbs have dual filaments inside. One for low beam the other for high beam. All four bulbs would be on when high beam is selected.

Correct.


Unless there's a bad body Ground for one of the bulbs. You can get one bulb on as normal and the others barely on and looking dull orange.
