1954 3 speed manual on a 302?

I have a 54 with the stock 239 y block I want to go with a 302. Can I just change the bellhousing and bolt it up or will it even work???

You may have to get a 65 or later standard transmission. It wil bolt right up to the 302 three speed standard bellhousing.

or you can drill 4 holes in the 302 bell and bolt it in .i did this on a 57.
