1940 Standard Bus Coupe Paint help!

Have an original 1940 business coupe w original paint black.
Paint has webbed and can't find black paint code. Also the fuel tank.
Installing new gas tank. Should that be painted acrylic enamel gloss or would you restore w lacquer? DuPont paint or PPG. Any help with what is proper would help. Thanks! Located in south jersey.
