I have all me rusty bolts drilled out and all the old rubber around the frame removed. I still can not get the frame apart. does the passenger side of the frame set over the outside frametrim piece? does the frame come apart where the frame looks to be in two pieces by the bolt holes on each side?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

The frame comes apart at the two sides where the trim pieces cover the split in the chrome. There is a steel bar that connects the two halves together by sliding inside the frame pieces and the screws that you drilled out are threaded into. They do get stuck tight! Good luck

Use penetrating oil liberally where the joints are, and keep them wet for at least a couple hours.
With someone holding one of the frames, put a 2X4 up against the opposite frame and hammer on the 2X4 till it starts to move apart.
Then go to the other end and do the same thing, and keep moveing back and forth between the 2 sides till you get it apart. :)

The maerial they used to seal the glass from the frame is a tar base and by using penetrating oil will release the bond. But will take a little time.
