1938-39 Ford hood side emblems

I thought I read a thread here on someone making custom side hood emblems for 1938-39 Ford pickups and trucks. They had photos of a remake similar to the originals too.


Since there are not any reproductions available and originals are missing the studs - and hard to find, I was considering alternatives.


I searched the forum here for a while with the search function and could not find that info.


What are people doing for the side hood emblems now?
 
38/39 ford pickups and truck engine side panel emblems use small stainless steel carriage bolts available from McMaster-Carr. 8-32 thread either 1/2" or 5/8" should work part # 9235A112 or 92356A113 about $ 12.00 for a box of 25. I do have them but I would have to charge probably $2.00 each plus shipping and it would hardly be worth my time.
 
I have a few i have collected over the years . Some all chrome ,some red ,blue or natural brass color . 60 ,85 and 95 . I had one with a blank horsepower circle. I got it in Canada and sold to a guy in Australia.

The 1 ton trucks I have found were all missing those emblems.
