1930 fenders

I've just purchased a complete set of 1930 original fenders. Front ,Rear Splash aprons and noses as well as running boards plus a front apron . They came off a Tudor. My understanding is that all front fenders were the same but what other models will the rest fit other than the Tudor-Karl

You have 2 types of 1930 front fenders. EARLY,MID. / LATE. Early/ Mid. has what is called a NOSE section running board splash shield spot welded to fender. Late has a full side running board shield. Kicked in around Nov. 1930. Running boards are 2 piece at that same time{ Nov. }.Rears fit , fordors ,Vicky,Standard phaeton,"400A" and station wagon.

Why would one body style on an assembly line get special treatment and fenders?
I don't know what the standards say, but I believe the one piece splash shield came in around July 1930, at least on coupes, together with the round speedo dash. I may be mistaken.

Re: 1930 fenders-cracked

Thanks
They are the front fenders with the nose bit. Definately not eyebrow fenders . They are all in pretty good condition although they have cracked on the fronts like they all do. Does anyone know why they always crack from the point above the wheel arch ? Vibration -Karl

Both my coupe and Phaeton have two piece splash aprons and round speedos . However you may still be right because as they were RHD Canadian assembled there is often a lot of difference regarding when production changes occurred compared with cars built in the US ie we lagged a lot behind.

Vince,
I believe that you have it right, as my '30 roadster , which I believe to be March to July '30...has the nose pieces and oblong speedo. BTW, it had never been taken down to the frame..until I came along... Rick
