1929 parking brake lever to front....

Looking for the cast/machined insert that goes in the top where the release button fits. The one in the lever no longer held the return spring and I pretty much busted up the rest of it getting it out. Some years ago they were available in the catalogs, don't see any listings for them now.

The '28-'29 Emergency brake handle, that I listed a long time ago, is still available. It is on page 17 of the "A" MODEL PARTS FOR SALE section.

I may have what you want, but I am not sure. I have several new old stock emergency brake handle top pieces. They have a one inch long shaft that is hollow for the rod and the shaft is "stepped" in that the lower half of the shaft is very slightly thinner in diameter than the upper half. The top is somewhat oval with the forward protrusion to aid in grabbing it. Does this sound like the piece you need? I have around ten of them. Sorry no camera. Nickel plated on top where it shows.
