1929 ford coupwe body block locations

I have a set of new body blocks for the bod to the frame where the body mounts to the frame. I was wondering if there is an assembly drawing or some information on which blocks go where? The blocks didnt come with any directions?

thanks
Billy

Billy, In the back of the Bratton's catalog and also towards the front of the Mac's catalog there are pictures of the blocks and their locations. You can probably find the catalog on line.

are the rubber pads on both sides?

All the origianl blocks I've seen had the fabric reinforced rubber nailed to the bottom side only. Two nails were used, nailed diagonally. The rubber pad is about 1/8" thick.

For shimming the body for alignment, you can add more pads, but don't nail them.

cut a slot from the bolt hole to the out side of pad, that way you wont have to keep removing the bolts to add or remove the pads used for shiming, all you have to do is raise the body a little

im probably posting some thing you already know, but here goes, the sequence for installing body blocks is, webbing on top of frame, splash aprons on top of webbing, rubber pad on top of splash apron, body blocks on top of rubber pad then the body on top of body block, run the webbing from the back of splash aprons to the front of frame under front fenders, you do not want any metal to metal contact

could one of yous post a picture of this sequence described by ford1. i'm going to use what i've got laying around. and looking for a close up shot of the base of the cowl, block, webbing, frame. thanks.
