1928 phaeton side curtains

Recently acquired phaeton.

Has a long flat bar bolted from rear roof frame to front to attach front roll down side curtains.

At the rear of the front roll downs is a "tag" of metal which the rear door curtain top fabric slots into.

The rear door curtain has the original rear upright rod that vertically slots into the curtain.

The very rear side curtains have a vertical flat bar slotted in and is bolted to this long flat bar at the top and screwed through body at lower..

I need to remove this long flat bar so I can have a foldable roof.

I think I can see the front curtains simply clip from around windscreen posts and slot over an upright steel post.

My Q/s are... What holds the front edge of the rear curtain up?

And what does the front edge of the very rear side curtain attach to at the top?

I know, i know , a bit hard to explain.

Will post pics.

I took the attached pics at the 2008 Joint MARC/MAFCA National Meet in Dallas. It is a '29, not a '28, but the hardware is the same. They show the general layout but not the specific details inside you are looking for. There are a couple of attaching clips up in the top irons for the rear side curtains in the middle. Hope this helps. Jim/TX
