I had a friend who new I was looking for a Model A and happened to tow a supposed 1925 T to storage for a customer and let me know about it.

I'm more a Flathead guy but I would love to get this vehicle if I had alittle Fordbarn insight. Before I lay eyes on this would like some info from the "T" folks on what I should look @ and what might be a good negotiating starting point.

I will get some pics as soon as I am able to set a day/time to meet with the owner. Any input would be great. Scott

Photos and a good description would be a good starting point. Also depended on if your Portland Oregon or Maine. Like any old car, overall condition, how complete? wood wheels condition? wood in body condition? Has it been restored at one time? Does it run? How is the sheet metal? Tires? Does it have a top or irons? Does it have a title? Condition of engine, has it been rebuilt with new babbett or just overhauled? If it's been sitting for 30 years the rear end could still have babbett thrust washers which would need to be replaced. Same with the bands in the transmission, would probable need to be relined. Is it running a distributor or coils? Chances are at this point the magneto is not in great shape anyway.
If you want to get an idea on value look on ebay at similar cars "SOLD". Look at Lang's or Snyder's on line catalog to get and idea on parts prices.

Get a bunch of good pictures from several angles, including clear shots of the engine from both sides, front and rear axles and springs, undercarriage, wheels, interior, controls, etc. Post the pictures and the location here and on the MTFCA forum and you'll soon have some idea of a reasonable price.

Thank you both for some insight and I will check out the MTFCA as well.

Have been reading threads on this site and it gives me a good reality of what I might be up against. Scott
