    Howell's Sheet metal

Howell's is just a middle man, it would appear. I suspect they don't actually make anything, and if they do, it's minor. Fenders come from Rootleib, running boards come from Rootleib, splash aprons come from Rootleib. etc. You getting the idea?

UHaul open car hauler for a Model T?

I rented a Uhaul car hauler trailer (open between the rails) and hauled my car on an 11 hour trip in the rain. At night. I stopped several times during the trip to check things and stayed at the speed Limit. The trailers are only supposed to be towed at 55 or lower. The only problem I had...

    1913 Model T touring : What do I have??

Somebody registered it as a 1913 because the engine number was built in October of 1913 but it's actually a 1914 car because the 1914 model year started in September of 1913. It has a 1914 body. I believe it's already been mentioned the car was built in January of 1914. It also has later...

    What year?

Unless the door hinges have been changed, it's a 24. But could be 24 -25. The door posts appear to be metal with wood bolted to them. 21's didn't have this. They were wood all the way, IRRC. My 24-25 body had metal door posts as well. Also, some have said that door hinges for true...

I am looking for demountable lugs with captured nuts, like the ones in the attached pictures. They are 1.5 inches across the top and are 1 inch tall. I have contacted Lang's and Haven, and neither have any. Thank you.

    Patch panels?

They are not made. The side panels from the rear of the firewall (cowel) to the back of the quarter panel curve where the rear panel meets the curve are all one piece. Contact Mark at Model T Haven to see if he has pieces for your application.

That little tool is only to be used with Ford made timers, and no other. The timer rod is only to be bent in the curved section that sits right above the timer itself.

    Gap spark plugs

To throw a little gas on the fire, my 1925 Touring runs better at 1/32 of an inch. I've tried several sets of plugs including original X's, reproduction X's, Motorcraft replacement plugs and an original set of Ward's plugs and set them all at .025 and they run like crap. I have an original...

    Buying a Rebuilt Engine ?

The 25 engine that came with my car developed a knock so I removed it and replaced it with a 23 engine until I can save enough dough to rebuild the 25 again. I paid 1500 bucks for mine and it was delivered to me. Miles will vary.

A Tour Of The Henry Ford Home

I don't think Edsel bowed to society in creating his home. I believe he, like his father, had his personal tastes in what he wanted his home to be. And before we bash Albert Kahn, let's remember that he designed Ford's Highland Park Plant.
