You need a distributor that turns counter clockwise. There is one English Ford engine that has this maybe thev1600. My personal choice is the Mean's Garage Super B+ points style distributor.

Install a Dirty Leg between the tank and petcock. It will trap debris before the sediment bowl. Very effective.

Flywheel should be balanced by itself,then pressure plate is bolted to flywheel to hold it. But only remove or add metal to pressure plate to balance it separately. Personally I'd leave it as is.

the advance curve is very close to the Ford Model B distributor. it has 14 degrees of advance range from 700 to 2,000 RPM. Timed at 30degrees BTDC at 2,000 RPM it falls back to 16 degrees BTDC for starting and idle. Quick starting and good acceleration.

Kinda depends on where you live. rural higher speed roads an Overdrive shines. If you drive mostly in town or hilly terrain the synchronized transmission is a dream. I had the transmission first but added the overdrive soon after.
