    Eckler's anyone?

Early on in my present Model A career, I ordered several things from MACS, primarily based on their neat catalog. And I did get a number of items that came OK, but as I got more into things, discovered other and better suppliers, they moved to the bottom of the list and eventually clear off the...

    Budd cab

They came from the factory with only a piece of rope between the steel top and the steel bows. There was no headliner at all.

    Budd cab

I took the metal ribs out & had them powder coated. While they were out, I applied "Road Kill" insulation, then covered that with fabric like they make speaker enclosures out of, then re-installed the ribs. Looks nice, and provides a sound barrier of sorts.

I once left out the spring that pushes on the cam shaft. And, of course, the cover leaked the second time because I didn't get the cover sealed properly.

How do you use your Model A?

While I was still working, I drove mine to work every day. Now that I'm retired, I drive it occasionally, to club meetings, and on the several tours with our club in the summer. Plans for this summer include a couple of trips raging from 500 to 1,000 miles over several days.
