I have the regular headlight bulbs. The ammeter reads zero with everything off. I am not an electrical guro, if I check for a draw at the battery.......and find a draw......where would the problem be?

Make sure the points are set to .020. If they are closer it will backfire...if they continue to get closer than .020 it will get worse.

The mercury in my quail motometer is not solid, it has an 1/8" space in it about 1/8" from the top. How do I change the motometer without damaging the quail?

Use a trailer and put the car in gear and use some tie downs or come-a-longs to keep it secure.

It should be restored to original options and colors. If it is restored for resale it may not bring as much as a 1930 or 1931, but will look impressive.

There seems to be a large price difference in owners manuals. Obviously the condition plays a role in what they are worth. Is there a way to check if they are original or reprinted?

I have a 1929 roadster with a tan cloth top that needs cleaning. A vinyl cover was put on it for approx. two months and left streaks where the cover touched the top. What should and should not be used to remove the markings?
