Paint code for “Bracket Brown”? 1948 Mercury Woodie I am restoring a 1948 Mercury woodie and I am trying to identify the brown color used to paint the brackets + interior sheet metal. In a book called Famous Ford Woodies, it was identified simply as “Bracket Brown” but I cannot find a paint...

1946-1948 mercury interchangeable body part question

You're (partially) in luck--it looks like the chassis catalog being reprinted now (the body catalog is separate): https://www.summitracing.com/search/year/1947/make/mercury/model/mercury/department/books-videos-software/part-type/reference-books?fr=part-type

1946-1948 mercury interchangeable body part question

FYI - I called C&G and confirmed (because I am interested too) that the v-44 catalog is Ford specific, so you will also need to buy a Merc catalog if you want to cross-reference to see if the parts are interchangeable.

    Canadian 1946-1948 Mercury 114

There is something about the Monarchs that boggle my mind---the mix of Ford and Merc parts looks so odd to my untrained eyes. I wonder what the reasoning behind creating another brand was in the first place.

    FORD/MERCURY 1939-1948...Differences (Re-Boot)

Can anyone confirm that the 1941-1948 Ford & Mercury Station Wagon (woodie) frames are the same dimensions as the other passenger cars? My original Merc parts catalog has the same part number as the passenger vehicles, but I have heard differing accounts.

    Model A Huckster Group

I've never heard the term "Huckster"-- at the risk of sounding ignorant, what is the difference between an "phantom" and a "huckster"? Huckster = a Model A (or at least of that same era,) and phantoms are later?
