Good morning guys, repaired the starter and put back in. NO MORE NOISE! hallelujah!!! I cant thank Brendan and Mart enough! Its a great day!!!

Brendan and Mart, I was able to get under the truck today and take the starter off. Looks like Brendan was right the spring and plunger thing is gone. I will look into getting it repaired and put back in. Thank you both and thank you to everyone else for the ideas! Appreciate it!

Mart, Thank you for the video. That sound seems to be identical to what I am hearing on my pickup. I am currently a little down and out with shingles. As soon as I feel up to it I am going to get under there and pull the starter off and check it out. I will let you know what I find. Thank you...

Hey guys, noticed a tink tink tink sound coming from my 39 pickup any ideas? Having trouble recreating the sound in my garage. Happens after warm up and at higher speeds tends to stop when I slow down and come to a stop.

Hey guys, Noticed a leak coming from my transmission. (I know they all leak lol) question I cleaned off the case and there is a tiny hole between the drain plug and the front of the transmission. I noticed some fluid coming from the hole any one know what that hole is for? Thanks
