1955 Ford Ranch Wagon V8 Dual Exhaust Tail Pipes

I placed an order with Waldron's on my 56 Country Sedan few weeks ago. 8 week lead. I have 57' manifolds on the 312 and hope all fits well and made sure I mentioned out the sides on tail pipes for good measure..

Re: 56' 312 No Spark..finally figured it out! Yes! Temp fix for now. That kit is not a lot of $$ and will go that route before I get on the road. Thought I'd share that kit as I couldn't find it anywhere on traditional car part sites other than that tractor supply. I have bigger issues now...

272 oil pressure switch and what else

Yes, rubber that has been compressed. I have not read or seen a mod like what you are leading to. Block number tells me a 57' and crank is 312. Just speculating as you that it was some mod drilled into that location. Just par for the course for my wagon. I have found so many different year parts...

272 oil pressure switch and what else

My thoughts as well. I feel it is a sensor of some sort, but I do not see any reference photos or manuals that show that feature. Appears that a wire attached to it with a nut. This is a 57 replacement motor that may have come from a truck I'm gathering.

272 oil pressure switch and what else

As I'm cleaning up my 312 57' block in my 56' Country Sedan painting as I go, I saw a port not shown in any pictures I could find nor this post. Take a look at the circled feature. I'm assuming it is in a water jacket location and just a plug of some sort? Any ideas to help me understand the...

I'm cleaning up a good 56' working generator with some fresh paint. I have it apart and see brushes are in good shape. I have a bearing/bushing set I can replace since I have it apart. Looking at the rear bronze bushing, what is the best way to remove it? Also, how does this bushing...

    Help identifying this dipstick tube

Dipstick tube on my 312 Country Sedan was never bolted to the head. I always thought it was just never attached. I soon discovered there are not enough bends in it. Clearly did not belong to this motor. Can anyone lend some insight where it came from? It does have a under layer of red-orange paint.

PCV Valve for 292 and source for rubber valley/valve cover gaskets

I just went down this road. O'Reillys has the Dorman grommet with the notch to fit the lip in the hole, sorry I do not have the number but I held it in my hand as I needed a thinner notch. PCV I used was Microgard PCV178, it specs out to be the closest match I could find. Both for about $7
