    I met an old 1/4 mile dirt track racer who told me that installing a Chevy distributor in his flattie made a more impressive change than his racing cam did. Where can I get a Chevy distributor modified to fit a 255ci flattie? V00DY

    53 Monarch. Engine miss smooths out on acceleration

    My 53 Monarch is a daily driver. Lately it has begun to miss at any cruising speed. However, when I accelerate, even slightly, the miss goes away. As soon as I feather the throttle the miss comes back. That suggests to me that it has something to do with the vacuum advance, but I don't know...
