After two years in storage my ‘30 is running poorly and if my POS compression test kit is to be believed, #1 & #2 have stuck valves. Short of pulling the head, is the anything I can do? …and what brand of compression gauge would you recommend for the hobbyist? Thank you!!

I’m having a tough time getting in to second when under way. I’m pretty sure it’s user error. I haven’t driven the car in almost three years. Shifts fine in all gears when at a full stop. Have any advice to improve my shifting? Thanks!

I have it ironed out. The new float valve was sticking and I needed to open the GAV a bit more. I also think my valves ares sticking a little. Looking for an adapter for my compression tester.

I need an adapter for my compression tester to fit the larger sparkplug holes. Can any one tell me the specs that I need to look for? A google search provide the wrong spec and I ended up buying one the doesn't fit. ...should have asked you guys first. Thanks!

I was reading the installation manual from Vintage Precision's thermostat housing here and they say to not use anti-freeze. My car is stored in an unheated garage and the thought of running "water-only" scares me. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
