Love it. I’ve had 3 65’s over the years back in the day. I had both a Calante and a Cyclone. Am I wrong or is this a Caliente with a Cycone interior? I’m not criticizing just relating my experience.

It’s a perfect fit. Go with a 400-500 cfm vacuum secondary carb. I have done this on a couple of occasions. Makes a great running 292.

Correct, if you really want to dress it up go with the T Bird cast aluminium valve covers. The most beautiful factory valve covers ever made in my opinion.

The Ford factory Hi Po dual point distributor parts can be installed in the 57 and up distributors fairly easily. Done it myself. Personaly would go with the Petrronix as I have done and keep the points and condenser in the glove box just in case.

This photo shows the prop installed to the right of the hood pin. The previous photos show it to the left of the hood pin. I'm thinking that since these were prety much hand built bot could be as built by Shelby.

The Handbook only went to the 406 because the 427 didn't come out until mid year when the 63 1/2 Fastbacks came out early fastbacks had the 406.

Thats the best picture I've found so for but would be nice to get measurements from top of radiator support down to the centerline of the hole and from the inside edge of the fender to the centerline of the hole. I have the rod, washer, and cotter key. In thinking about this a little further...

I have all the parts. Need to know where the hood prop rod mounts on the radiator support. I've seen the location stated as on the drivers side and the passangers side. Just takes one hole. Just need to know where. Photo and or measurements.

Installing an original Shelby factory hood on my 65 Mustang. Got a repo of the hood rod prop. Been trying to figure out how to mount it to the car. Need details as to how it mounts to the car. Googled it several times and haven't found anything that shows how it mounts to the radiator support,

wagon is different. I could use a set for the wagon. Also need a drivers side axel, the short one. I think the T Bird axels and brake drums may work.

Thanks for the info on the amp meter. Will think about it. Now have the idiot light hooked into a red LED light mounted in a hole on the bottom edge of the dash.

Finally figured it out. There are 3 black wires with green stripe in the gauge harness. Had one in the wrong place. Finaly figured it out by comparing the 65 wiring diagram with the 66 wiring diagram. Gauge calabriation is still off so I ordered a new gague. Success!
