I don't have an extra trunk handle. Best to find an original as the repros dont take the same key as the door and ignition.
And some of the guys on the list can rekey it to match what you have.
do let us know what kind of vacuum canister you use. I tried that black one that is about the size of an orange one. No luck. Then I added an electric vacuum pump to the suck the canister out, still no luck.
I have heard of the Electro-vac but never followed up on it.
My '36 was converted to 12V by a previous owner which is great. I did find a Bosch 12 v motor. There is bound to be one that is 6V. Or, there are guys who can convert them.
The one that Drake sells is too long.
There is one on eBay item number:155129809596. I think this is how mine started...
1936 Ford Rumble Seat Tail Lamp Step
This tail lamp was adapted to a right-side rumble seat tail lamp by someone in the past. It is secure, no wabbling. There are a few rust holes on one side and one of the bolts is too short, it must have been broken off in the past. Sand blasted, ready for...
All,
I finally just got the wide five plates finished. I had to go to a friend's shop and use his drill press and hydraulic press to get the studs pressed in. It turned into a lot of work. The press read up to 1500 pounds while pressing some of the studs in.
I have had 8 made. As of 10-8-25, I...
All,
My guy's shop is backed up. It will be October before he can get them made, he's a one man shop.
The cost will be $65 including lugs and standard lug nuts (not the original size lug nuts) plus shipping.

ok, I will go by my guy today and see how his time is for making 5 more.
Buckelew wants one and Tim wants one.
If I get three more orders, it will be worth having them made.
I don't want to have three extras laying around.
well, sorta, I have made an adapter plate that goes from the wide five to a smaller diameter, similar to the pattern of the '40. Its purpose is to provide a way to mount the wide five wheel on a standard tire changer. It is NOT designed for road use.
I only had 5 made because no one else seemed interested in them.
Let me check with my guy to see how much he wants to make one or two.
I'm not sure I can sell 4 more besides yours.
Do you have any wide five friends that might want one.
A bulk order would help.

I too purchased a Brass Works radiator for my '36, fit right in. As I have an 8BA, I needed an electric fan in front. That took two trys, I think I would up with a 14 inch fan in order to clear the grille.
I highly recommend Brass Works.
if you have a three row radiator, you MIGHT be able to put a belt driven fan behind the radiator. If it is a 4-row, like mine, you will need a 14 inch electric fan in front of the radiator. I also needed to install Red's heads to clear the steering box.
Re: Let’s Talk about Turn Signals (Again)
The Novtia EP34 is designed for 12 volt, but they probably make a 6V. Anyway, it does NOT depend on load, but rather it is timed so it flashes even if there is only one bulb on it.
For Sale,
'36 rumble seat step. This looks home made as it does not have the platform stamped into the tail light for the post, but the post is real secure. There are some rust holes but they should fill in? Freshly sand blasted.
CW Moss sells real good reporductions for $125 plus shipping.
