easier method; pull sparkplugs, get the wife to hit the starter whilst you look down spark plug holes and see if the valves are moving

    Who went to Hershey?

I dunno, I've always considered my car to be worth more as parts if I was to sell, than as a fully complied, road legal auto. Such a shame.....

    Kudos

There is a member on here Krylon32, who gives a 10% discount on the retail price of Boling Bros repo Lincoln Bendix brakes to fordbarn members. These are the finest bolt on brakes you can fit to an early Ford V8, they duplicate the Bendix brakes as fitted to Lincolns of that era. They are self...

21 Stud cylinder head with unique combustion chamber.

How do they perform? In my application, they are all right. However, my application is a 255 cu in 21 stud...when I had Eddie Meyer heads on it, it had too much compression; detonated to hell! I fitted these to overcome that on account of their lower compression. I am unable to advise how they...

21 Stud cylinder head with unique combustion chamber.

the reason I'm running them is because when I was looking for cast iron heads, every left hand factory head I located was cracked!! RH heads were all crack free...dunno why. I located set of NORS heads in Australia, so am running them.

21 Stud cylinder head with unique combustion chamber.

They are aftermarket, the name of the manufacturer eludes me for now. They also used the same configuration for dome top pistons; simply domed tthe heads. That is why the combustion chamber is shaped like that; to lead into the dome...same castings. I run these same [flattop] heads on my current...

    Additional projects 8BA and EAC

See? Straight away you've found better, much better candidates to rebuild than the 59A boat anchor!!! and they'll still cost a packet to rebuild, but considerably cheaper and more reliable than your other lump of iron...

    Engine Machine Shops Rejections

Sorry, but you won't like my response...When it comes to resurrecting anything old, find the best example you can, it'll cost a bundle, more than the ultimate restored contraption is worth. Sure, anything can be saved if you put enough time and $$$, particularly the $$$$$, but in this case, find...

32 10 spline driveshaft to 36 rearend with 6 spline pinion shaft.

Brian I did see a comment that the 36 retainer pin is in a slightly different spot than the 10 spline? Dunno, But I've modified two 35 driveshafts as described above, and everything fits together just fine....

32 10 spline driveshaft to 36 rearend with 6 spline pinion shaft.

Do you need to fit a 10 spline tubular driveshaft to a 6 spline pinion? What I've done a couple of times is set the driveshaft up in a lathe and bore the 10 spline end out until it is say 0.001" bigger than the 6 spline adapter. Give the end a slight bevel, fit the 6 spline adapter, aligning the...

valve stem clogs when using counteract beads

My experience is the same; there seems to be a rubber flap at base of valve stem. Remove it with a drill, I use a length of plastic hose attached to the valve stem. Put required weight of beads into a ketchup bottle or similar; something with a tapered spout...affix the hose onto the nozzle and...
